About the program
The RAC process provides the opportunity to demonstrate your competencies in the field of SET through formal, informal, and non-formal workplace and life experiences. You can obtain a Diploma of College Studies (DCS/DEC) in SET in recognition for knowledge and skills you have attained already, without having to re-train.
The time needed to complete the RAC evaluation process in SET will vary from person to person depending on how many of the competencies found in the DCS/DEC program are being assessed. A competency is a set of skills, knowledge, and behavior that enables a person to perform a specific role or function. You must be available to meet, on occasion, with our RAC Content Specialists on evenings and/or weekends, and can continue to work full-time throughout the process.
The most important RAC admission step is the Validation Interview, done by a Content Specialist. This is what determines the significant amount of experience.
